Bosco Pierangelo

The Bosco Pierangelo winery is located in Borgata “Boiolo” in the municipality of La Morra, the beating heart of the Langhe.

The BOSCO family has owned for 3 generations about 10 hectares in a single body arranged around the family farmhouse. Boiolo is an MGA (Additional Geographic Mention) whose soils are characterized by an abundant presence of clay and limestone, and some veins of Marl. The vineyards owned have an altitude that varies from 350 to 400 meters.

The grapes grown in this area by the Bosco family have always been vinified and sold in bulk to other wineries until 2014 when the father, Pierangelo, began to select a small part of the best grapes and to bottle the wine produced from these with the name of the Bosco Pierangelo company; thus the first bottles of Barolo Boiolo of the family came out, produced in very small quantities (2500 bt). In 2017, Gaia and Niccolò, children of Pierangelo and Elisa, joined the company and decided to dedicate themselves to winemaking and the commercial part, thus bringing the family production to 10,000 bt.

Today, the production consists of 4 types of wine well identified with a defined style. Selected grapes, handled with care and vinified in steel tanks with spontaneous fermentations. Balanced wines that want to give a pleasant, elegant drink and with the right personality in each label. The refinement takes place in large barrels for the Barolo and in tonneaux for the Barbera d'Alba, to accompany and not to overwhelm the characteristics of the vine and above all the quality of the grapes brought to the cellar.
