Pierangelo Woods

The Bosco Pierangelo winery it is located in the “Boiolo” hamlet in the municipality of La Morra, the beating heart of the Langhe.

For three generations, the BOSCO family has owned approximately 10 hectares of land arranged around the family farmhouse. Boiolo is an MGA (Additional Geographic Mention) whose soils are characterized by abundant clay and limestone, with some marl veins. The estate-owned vineyards range in altitude from 350 to 400 meters.

The grapes grown in this area by the Bosco family were always vinified and sold in bulk to other wineries until 2014, when father Pierangelo began selecting a small portion of the best grapes and bottling the resulting wine under the Bosco Pierangelo winery name. This marked the release of the family's first bottles of Barolo Boiolo, produced in very small quantities (2,500 bottles). In 2017, Gaia and Niccolò, Pierangelo and Elisa's children, joined the company and decided to dedicate themselves to winemaking and sales, thus increasing the family's production to 10,000 bottles.

Today, production consists of four distinct wine styles, each with a distinct style. Selected grapes are carefully handled and vinified in steel tanks with spontaneous fermentation. Balanced wines that offer a pleasant, elegant drink, with just the right personality for each label. The Barolo is aged in large barrels and the Barbera d'Alba in tonneaux, to complement, rather than overwhelm, the characteristics of the grape variety and, above all, the quality of the grapes brought to the cellar.
