Barolo Boiolo DOCG - The King of Italian Wines

Our Barolo Boiolo DOCG is a red wine of extraordinary value produced in the hills of the Langhe, in Piedmont. Known as the 'King of wines', this Barolo represents the excellence of the Piedmontese winemaking tradition and the maximum expression of the territory of La Morra.

Vine and Territory

Produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, a native Piedmontese vine considered one of the noblest in Italy. The grapes come from vineyards located in the Boiolo cru, one of the most suitable areas of the municipality of La Morra, where the marly-calcareous soil and the particular microclimate create the ideal conditions for the maturation of this demanding vine. Cultivation takes place in compliance with tradition and the environment, to guarantee a product of the highest quality.

Organoleptic Characteristics

  • Color: Intense garnet red with orange reflections that become more pronounced with aging
  • Aroma: Broad and complex bouquet with notes of ripe red fruit, jam, dried rose, violet, spices, tobacco, liquorice and balsamic hints
  • Taste: Powerful and austere, with noble and well-integrated tannins, great structure and persistence, long and elegant finish
  • Alcohol content: 14.5% vol.

Food Pairings

Perfect with important traditional Piedmontese dishes such as braised beef in Barolo, game, roasts, truffles and mature cheeses. A meditation wine, also ideal to accompany special moments. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C, preferably after decanting.

Production and Refinement Method

The grapes are harvested by hand when they reach perfect ripeness, generally in the second half of October. After a delicate pressing, the must ferments at a controlled temperature for about 15-20 days. This is followed by a long refinement of at least 38 months, of which at least 18 in oak barrels, as required by the DOCG regulations. This long process gives the wine complexity, structure and elegance, characteristics that make it suitable for further aging in the bottle.

A wine that tells the story and tradition of the Langhe, bringing the authentic aromas and flavors of Piedmont to the glass. A unique sensory experience, to be shared in the most special moments.
