Full Description
Our Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC is a prestigious red wine produced in the hills of Alba, Piedmont. This wine embodies the essence of Piedmontese winemaking tradition and Bosco Pierangelo's passion for viticulture.
Grape Variety and Terroir
Produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, an indigenous Piedmontese grape variety considered one of Italy's noblest. The grapes come from vineyards located in the hills of Alba, in the municipality of La Morra, where the marl-calcareous soil and the particular microclimate create ideal conditions for the maturation of this demanding grape variety. Cultivation is carried out with respect for tradition and the environment, to guarantee a high-quality product.
Organoleptic Characteristics
- Color: Brilliant ruby red with garnet reflections
- Aroma: Broad and complex bouquet with notes of red fruits (cherry, raspberry), violet, rose, and light hints of spices and licorice
- Taste: Elegant and harmonious, with fine and well-integrated tannins, good structure and persistence, a long and pleasant finish
- Alcohol content: 14% vol.
Food Pairings
Perfect with flavorful pasta dishes, mushroom risottos, red meats, game, and medium-aged cheeses. It pairs splendidly with traditional Piedmontese dishes such as tajarin with ragu, braised beef, and agnolotti. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
Production Method
The grapes are hand-harvested upon reaching perfect ripeness. After a delicate pressing, the must ferments at a controlled temperature for approximately 10-12 days. This is followed by 12 months of aging in oak barrels, which gives the wine complexity and structure, while preserving the varietal characteristics of the Nebbiolo grape.
