Menicucci 's Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC is produced mainly with Montepulciano grapes, a native vine of the Abruzzo region. This vine adapts perfectly to the climate and soil of the area, giving life to high quality wines.
Production Method
The production of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC follows traditional methods with some modern touches. After the manual harvest of the grapes, the fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the organoleptic characteristics of the grapes. The refinement takes place in oak barrels for at least 6 months, followed by further refinement in the bottle.
Organoleptic Characteristics
- Color: intense ruby red with purple reflections.
- Nose: On the nose, aromas of ripe dark fruits, notes of spices and light hints of vanilla can be distinguished.
- Taste: On the palate, it is full and soft with well-balanced tannins, giving a pleasant sensation of freshness.
- Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
