Losito Winery

Our story begins between the 1950s and 1960s thanks to the insight of Giovanni Losito, a winegrower like his ancestors. During a visit to northern Puglia, between the Gargano region and the Alto Tavoliere delle Puglie, he noticed the coexistence of seas, mountains, vast expanses of fertile land, and an excellent climate for quality viticulture, so he decided to start a new life in that place with his family, planting new vineyards.

A few years later, Giovanni also benefited from the help of his son Leonardo, who shared his father's passion for viticulture to the point of also pursuing oenological studies. For Leonardo, it was no longer enough to just produce grapes, so he decided to found the first family winery in 1994 and four years later, in 1998, he made a courageous choice of sensitivity: to convert the vineyards to organic farming to obtain healthier grapes and wines, decades before the public was sensitized on this topic.

In 2012, Leonardo's children, Giovanni and Aurelia, also decide to follow in their fathers' footsteps, inaugurating together a new winery, modern and immersed in their own vineyards. Giovanni, also an oenologist, follows both the viticultural and oenological production together with his father, as well as the commercial aspects, while Aurelia dedicates herself to foreign markets, making the fruit of the Losito family's work known all over the world.

Today, the family cultivates 60 hectares in the area between the Alto Tavoliere delle Puglie and the Gargano region, vinifying all their own organic grapes.
