The Dry Elegance of Venetian Bubbles
Discover Alma 2024 Prosecco Brut DOC, a sparkling wine that embodies the refinement and versatility of the Brut style. With its dry character and vibrant freshness, this Prosecco is the ideal choice for those seeking elegant, less sweet bubbles, perfect for accompanying an entire meal.
The Story
Prosecco DOC originates in the Veneto and Friuli lands, where the Italian sparkling wine tradition has found its most popular and appreciated expression worldwide. The DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) designation guarantees the wine's origin and quality, produced exclusively from Glera grapes grown in the nine provinces between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Alma represents the contemporary soul of this tradition. The name evokes nourishment, growth, and passion for the territory. The winery carefully selects the best Glera grapes to create bubbles that express freshness, elegance, and a distinctive character. The vinification follows the Charmat method, which preserves the primary aromas of the grape variety and gives the wine its characteristic vivacity and fine perlage.
This Prosecco Brut 2024 stands out for its clean and refined aromatic profile: floral notes of white flowers and acacia intertwine with fruity hints of green apple, citrus, and pear. On the palate, it is fresh, dry, and savory, with a fine and persistent perlage. Its low sugar residue (Brut: 6-12 g/l) makes it particularly versatile at the table and ideal for those who prefer less sweet bubbles.
Production Area
Prosecco DOC, production area between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The vineyards extend over flat and hilly terrains in the provinces of Treviso, Venice, Vicenza, Padua, Belluno, Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste, and Udine. The climate is temperate, with Adriatic influences that ensure constant ventilation and balanced grape ripening.
The soils, predominantly clayey and silty with the presence of gravel, impart freshness and minerality to the wine. The DOC area, wider than the DOCG, produces accessible and high-quality Prosecco, perfect for daily consumption and convivial occasions.
