The Story

Production Area
The grapes come from vineyards located in a hilly area characterized by loose, well-drained soils, composed of sand, gravel, and alluvial deposits typical of the areas most suited to Lagrein. Warm days and cool nights favor an intense development of aromas and a natural concentration of color. The ventilated and bright microclimate allows for rich, healthy, and high-quality grapes.
Tasting Notes
The 2022 Weingut Teutsch Lagrein has a deep, almost impenetrable ruby color, with violet reflections that reveal its youth.
On the nose, it stands out for an intense bouquet: black cherry, ripe plum, and small dark fruits intertwine with notes of violet, cocoa, and light spicy nuances of pepper and cloves.
On the palate, it is full, soft, and enveloping. The tannins are present but velvety, supported by good freshness that balances the wine's important structure. Fruity and slightly balsamic returns accompany a long, round, and pleasantly warm finish.
